The City of Tomball is accepting applications for the position of City Planner. This position serves as an intermediary between the public, developers, builders, engineers, governmental agencies, and local representatives, overseeing planning-related activities. It encompasses a range of planning functions, from current planning reviews and zoning ordinance modifications to advanced planning that might involve updates to the Comprehensive Plan and similar long-range planning efforts. Manages projects related to development and land use applications, ensuring they adhere to city ordinances. Instrumental in crafting and administering the city's Zoning & Subdivision ordinances. Prepares and presents in-depth technical reviews on development proposals and provides essential guidance to Boards, Commissions, and the City Council.
