Erik Waldman, is the Vice President of Venue Services at TVS. In this role, Waldman uses his experiences in public assembly venue management to provide insight on the functionality of design. Additionally, he also assists the firm in business development. Prior to joining the team, he served in multiple roles for the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA), most recently as the Senior Director of Special Events. In his role, he oversaw special event operations for the number one convention, sports and entertainment destination in the world. In his tenure with the GWCCA, Waldman has overseen event services, guest services, and stadium front of house operations for the former Georgia Dome. In 2018, Waldman was selected to oversee campus planning of Super Bowl LIII consisting of 90% of the NFL sanctioned events. In 2016, Waldman received his Certified Venue Executive (CVE) designation from the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM).

Rob’s projects include the expansion of New York’s Jacob Javits Convention Center, Mumbai’s Jio World Centre, the Puerto Rico Convention Center, the expansion and transformation of the Las Vegas Convention Center, the vertical expansion of the Colorado Convention Center and Nashville’s Music City Center. Rob’s work has won more than thirty national, regional and local design awards and has appeared in multiple publications. Rob is regularly asked to speak on the emerging trends in the global meeting industry and on the design of large mixed-use destinations.

He also has extensive experience developing partnerships and managing relationships between diverse stakeholder groups, which are maintained through detailed and timely communication.
He has created comprehensive communications and public involvement strategies, as well as managed public affairs initiatives, grassroots recruitment, agency trainings, and high-quality collateral materials. "Rob Hunden and his team of consultants have extensive experience in the feasibility, impact, and implementation of major real estate projects. They are skilled ""place makers"" and operate at the intersection of real estate development, economic development, and tourism development. Since the launch of Hunden Strategic Partners in 2006, the firm has been sought after for major destination projects, including sports, nightlife, tourism, convention, and hotel projects, many of which have public and private components. Hunden and his team have worked on over 800 projects and processes, with more than $6 billion in projects built since 1996. These projects include hotels, professional sports stadia/arenas, youth sports complexes, entertainment districts, theme parks, and cultural facilities.
Before starting the firm, Hunden served as Vice President of CHJC in Chicago. There, he conducted nearly 100 destination development assignments, specializing in hotels, conference centers, sports, entertainment-retail districts, and convention center developments, among others. Prior to Johnson Consulting, he worked on real estate capital markets, finance, and transaction activity for Landauer Associates and Grubb & Ellis in Chicago.
Hunden's public-sector experience began at the Indianapolis Bond Bank, which is Indianapolis' economic development finance authority. There, he worked for the Mayor's Office and the Bond Bank on the Indiana Convention Center expansion, financing for the RCA Dome renovation and Bankers Life Fieldhouse construction, Emmis Communications headquarters on Monument Circle, and managed the pre-development process for the Indianapolis Downtown Marriott convention hotel, among many other community development projects, including retail, entertainment, tourism, and special events.
Mr. Hunden has written articles on economic development topics and taught numerous courses at the collegiate and professional level. He has also been active in special event and nonprofit work."
