Help share our experiences and lessons learned from updating development regulations that were more than 40 years old.
With large ships, shifting course is not always easy to do and it takes a lot of people working together to make it happen. Much like changing the course of a large ship, updating a comprehensive development code isn’t always easy. There are several moving parts and competing interests which can seem overwhelming to navigate. Join us as we share the keys that helped us successfully navigate a major update for a 40-year-old code. This includes assembling the right team, building momentum, engaging with the development community, finding creative ways to capture layers of feedback, and – of course – gaining critical buy-in for comprehensive change. We’ll also share some lessons learned along the way.
