Our heartfelt thoughts are with the millions of people impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The APA Foundation is now matching, dollar for dollar, individual contributions made online through December 31 to its Community Assistance Fund, which will help communities across Texas and Louisiana.

The APA Foundation supports programs that help economically challenged and disaster-devastated communities through Community Planning Assistance Teams and other planning resources.

In light of the massive wind- and flood-related damage to communities throughout Texas and Louisiana by Hurricane Harvey, individual donations made online to the APA Foundation’s Community Assistance Fund through December 31, 2017, will be allocated to recovery efforts, and will be matched, dollar for dollar, by the APA Foundation.

The Foundation is already engaged in dialogue with chapter leaders, and will work with APA member volunteers, the AICP Community Assistance Planning Services (CAPS) Committee and other partners to ensure that planners in Texas and Louisiana, and their communities, receive the support they need as they attempt to rebuild their lives and address large-scale recovery planning and implementation challenges for months and years to come.
