We’re seeking a highly talented and driven individual to join our organization as Manager to oversee multidisciplinary teams in the development of long- and short-range capital investment plans and programs. The candidate must demonstrate effective management skills and experience facilitating committees and coordination of activities with multiple partner and oversight agencies. This role requires an individual who can generate consensus among parties with competing interests and implement recommendations with transparency. The ideal candidate will also have experience navigating complex regulatory and reporting requirements, preparing and monitoring achievement of performance targets, managing development of cost-benefit and economic impact analyses and successfully securing non-traditional funding sources (federal discretionary grants, public-private partnerships, etc.). The successful candidate will have at a minimum:
Bachelor's degree required with emphasis in Transportation, Urban or Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Economics or related field.
Applicable experience may substitute for education
Five (5) years’ work experience with a public or private planning agency or other organization responsible for the development or implementation of capital investment programs and projects. Master’s Degree may substitute for two years of work experience.
Strong knowledge of State and Federal transportation planning regulations and guidance required
Knowledge of public agency administration to include budget development, contract management and administration
Two (2) years, employee management or work assignment and delegation experience
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Transportation, Urban or Regional Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or Economics.
Eight (8) years’ experience in transportation planning, project development, and project and plan implementation.
