We all have places in Texas dear to our heart. That’s why the Texas Chapter is excited to announce our own rendition of the American Planning Association's Great Places in America program, the Gold Standard in America’s Neighborhoods, Streets, and Public Spaces. Great Places in Texas will recognize the Lone Star’s Great Places – neighborhoods, streets, and public spaces – and celebrate how planning has played a vital role where we live, work, and play. The program promotes and recognizes great places while celebrating stories of exemplary planning that have resulted in stronger and healthier communities.

Applications will be due Friday, February 2, 2018. Please review the GPIT application and criteria below for more information. Applications are not limited to APA members.
