Nominating Committee Report
Election of new officers for the Texas Chapter and eight of the Sections will take place in August. Results will be announced in September. Successful candidates will begin their term of office following conclusion of the Chapter Conference in October. The Chapter and Section Nominating Committees have recommended the following slate of candidates:
CALL FOR PETITION CANDIDATES FOR CHAPTER OFFICERS
Twenty (20) or more regular members may petition the Chapter President, with a copy to the Chapter Secretary, for the inclusion of names not appearing in the Nominating Committee report within 14 days of this notice (NLT July 13, 2015), at which time nominations will be closed. Candidate biographical statements shall be required following the close of nominations (NLT July 24, 2015).
Office shall be open to any member of the APA Texas Chapter who is also a member of the National APA organization in good standing.
ELECTION PROCEDURE AND SCHEDULE
This year we will be participating in consolidated elections for officers. What this means is you will receive a link to an on-line ballot in August that will include nominees for National, Chapter and Section officers, all on one ballot. Here is the schedule for the elections:
July 15 Nominees announced on APA web site, Interact; announcement of petition procedures.
July 24 Firm deadline for filing of petition candidates’ petitions, background/experience and position statements.
August 3 Posting of candidate bios/position statements on APA Election website and in Interact
August 6 Ballots available online, reminders e-mailed to all members.
September 10 Deadline for receipt of ballots
