Executive Director of the Midland Odessa Transportation Organization - Metropolitan Planning Organization Timothy D. Dolan died Thursday, August 23, near Gatesville, at the age of 54. Services for Mr. Dolan, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Luke Catholic Church. His cremains will be placed in the columbarium at the church.

He was born on Feb. 1, 1958, in Amarillo to James Ralph and Mary Dunn Dolan. He was raised in Amarillo and attended St. Mary’s Academy, Tascosa High School and Amarillo Community College. He received his bachelor’s degree in history/urban studies from the University of Detroit. He completed masters of science in community and regional planning coursework at the University of Texas. He married Page Abbott on June 3, 1989, in Houston. He worked as a city planner in Austin, Plano, Longview, Wash., Kerrville, Marble Falls and Temple. He also taught at Lamar Middle School in Temple. He was lector at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple.

Survivors include his wife; his children, Patrick, Ryan, Abby and Maggie; two sisters, Mary Kaye Shawgo of Amarillo and Colleen Dolan-Greene of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, J.D. Dolan of Tulsa, Okla., and Larry Dolan of Seattle, Wash.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Dolan Children’s Fund at First State Bank Central Texas, P.O. Box 6136, Temple, TX 76503.
Visitation and rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple.
Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
