The Energy Corridor District recently earned the American Planning Association-Texas Chapter’s Long Range Planning Award for the vision of their 2015 master plan, which includes new developments such as the new Energy Corridor Transit Center at Addicks Park and Ride, Grisby Square and improvements to Terry Hershey Park.

“The plan initially responds to the vision of the internationally recognized high quality place in which to work, live and invest,” said Clark Martinson, general manager of the Energy Corridor District. “The principles aim to embrace natural landscape, create vibrant destinations, to build great public places, enhance circulation networks, develop complete streets, integrate transit service, encourage bicycle use, invest in transit infrastructure, promote environmental design and activate neighborhood streets.”
