Learning Objectives
1. Explore the overarching challenge presented by infrastructure investment faced by communities. With infrastructure needs always outweighing funding sources, participants will learn a strategic approach the City of Austin has initiated with the creation of the Capital Planning Office and through the development of proactive Imagine Austin implementation strategies through the Planning and Development Review Department.
2. Learn about the City of Austin Planning Commission’s role in infrastructure planning and investment as well as the evolution of that role overtime.
3. Learn about the new City of Austin Long-Range CIP Strategic Plan, its components, and its relationship to Imagine Austin comprehensive plan implementation.
4. Learn about the City of Austin Imagine Austin Implementation Program and other focused implementation efforts.
