responsibilities include facilities planning and conducting real property
surveys. Six to ten years experience in planning or related field required. Must
be willing to travel worldwide and participate in Field Surveys. The ideal
candidate will have some military experience and have a BS or MS in Planning or
an engineering discipline. AICP or LEED AP desired. Must have also strong
communication skills and familiarity with military installation planning. Must
be proficient with MS Office suite and familiarity with CAD/GIS tools.

General Tasks: Serve as official CoP liaison
to business, industry and organizations that play a role in economic
development; Promote “progressive, business friendly” CoP image through mutually
beneficial collaboration. Promote “progressive, business friendly” CoP image to
local business and organizations through continuous networking, public
presentations, workshops and the dissemination of relevant information.
Market Portland to realtors/property managers, lending institutions, developers,
homebuilders, major employers and prospective residents. Promote Portland
image and advantages through internet and area media (good news campaign).
Assess economic development threats and opportunities, minimizing and/or
maximizing them accordingly. Receive and process business generated
complaints concerning the CoP. Education: Required - Relevant
undergraduate degree from an accredited university or college; Preferred -
Graduate degree from an accredited university or college in public
administration, planning, economic development, real estate or another relevant
area of advanced/professional study. |
