The Annual APA Texas Chapter Conference, scheduled for
October 1-4 in Galveston, has been CANCELLED due to
extensive damage caused by Hurricane Ike. The APA Texas
Executive Committee is actively pursuing the possibility of
rescheduling the conference. We are currently investigating
the feasibility of rescheduling the 2008 Conference for
late-January or early-February 2009, possibly in El Paso
since it is the next location on the conference rotation,
with a potential return to Galveston in the fall of 2009.
The Chapter is working with APA National to establish a
process for refunding conference registration fees.
Additional details will be provided soon.
APA Texas will arrange for the cancellation of all
conference-related hotel reservations with the Hilton,
Holiday Inn and San Luis. There is no need for individual
registrants to contact these hotels.
Please remember to cancel any air travel and/or ground
transportation arrangements.
