Parks, Recreation, Trails, and Open Space Master Plan

Description:
The City of Buda, Texas (City) is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting, professional, and/or technical planning services firms with experience in the parks and recreation industry for the development of an overall master plan that will include parks, recreation, trails, and open space including facilities and potential partnerships and grant opportunities.  This master plan must include considerations for creating a comprehensive trails master plan that links together parks, neighborhoods, schools, and businesses and connectivity to transportation networks.  Other individual park master plans for various parks such as City Park located in the downtown area are to be completed, and review and make recommendations on revising the park land dedication ordinance.  In addition, the master plan will include an inventory and assessment of all existing parks, trails, facilities, programs, and ordinances; identify recommendations for parks, trails, facilities, and ordinances including requirements for developers to shade playgrounds when parks are constructed; and propose future parks, recreational facilities, and/or hike and bike trail linkages.  The City has recently completed a new Comprehensive Master Plan and the Parks, Recreation, Trails and Open Space Master Plan must be effectively integrated with the comprehensive plan’s goals, objectives, and actions as they relate to parks and recreation.  The City will spend no more than $50,000 on the development of the master plan.

Description:
The City of College has issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for the contribution of deliverables and professional services to be included as part of a staff authored Economic Development Master Plan (Master Plan). The document will build upon the City Council Strategic Plan, the Economic Development Chapter of the [UTF-8?]City’s Comprehensive Plan, and other relevant studies. The Master Plan will then serve as a guide for ongoing and future work efforts relating to economic development in College Station.
 
The City invites experienced and qualified firms to provide professional services associated with the formation of the Master Plan. The selected firm will contribute specific deliverables and professional services. These will include analyzing and evaluating existing market conditions and opportunities in addition to serving as an outside resource to staff throughout the process.

City of San Marcos Comprehensive Plan & Transportation Master Plan

Description:
The City of San Marcos is updating its Comprehensive Plan, which will include its Transportation Master Plan.  The new Comprehensive Plan will meet and exceed all requirements in the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 213.  Additional elements will include Preferred Growth Districts and Preferred Growth Corridors; analysis of the City’s location in relation to the Edwards Aquifer; and full incorporation of the City’s Vision as determined through public outreach efforts.  The Comprehensive Plan will also be highly graphic and implementable, and will be a living document, with a broad scope and detailed analyses that allow for updating every few years. It will provide an extensive update of the existing Master Plan while recognizing changes in the city's demographics and growth patterns.
